3:30PM Holiday Card Swap & Ornament Craft (for adults) at the North End Library. Refresh your holiday card collection by bringing in your old, unused ones and swapping them out for fresh ones, and have fun making a simple snowman ornament –with a light-up nose! Hot chocolate and coffee will be served. Please note that this is for adults only. 

7:00PM Film Screening: Saving Sea Turtles: Preventing. Stop by 1 Central Wharf for a film screening narrative by renowned scientist Dr. Sylvia Earle. “Saving Sea Turtles: Preventing Extinction” tells the story of the world’s rarest sea turtle, the Kemp’s ridley, and how humans pushed a healthy population to the precipice of extinction and are now slowly helping it to recover, see additional details here.

Boston has dramatically reworked the design for a new Northern Avenue bridge

While details of the Northern Ave Bridge project are still being finalized before moving forward, City officials appear to be considering redesigning the bridge to prioritize walking and bicycling and prohibit single-occupancy cars, read more on the Boston Globe.

1:00PM Friday Film: The Shop Around the Corner (1940). Stop by the North End Library at 25 Parmenter Street for their Friday Film Series. Today’s Film will be The Sop Around the Corner from 1940.

Saturday, December 14

12:00PM Boston Philharmonic MOSAIC Concert Series at the North End Library. MOSAIC concerts are a fun, fresh, and educational musical experience for everyone of all ages. Each session includes music, opportunities to interact with the musicians, ask questions about the music, and even a chance to play the instruments at one of our Instrument Playgrounds!

2:00PM Christmas Caroling. The St. Leonard Choral Society is pleased to announce that this year we will be Christmas Caroling throughout the North End. Sacred Heart Church in the North End of Boston, Massachusetts is currently under renovations, which is the reason for the caroling instead of a formal concert. Still, the program will be very exciting, so please join us for the unforgettable event starting in North Square, see additional details here.
