The December North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) meeting will be on Thursday, December 12, 2019. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Nazzaro Center, 30 N. Bennet Street.
At this meeting City Councilor Lydia Edwards, representing District 1 (North End, Charlestown, and East Boston), will present legislative and community updates. There will also be three voting items.
The first vote will be regarding a proposed amendment to the Boston Zoning Code. A letter from NEWRA would support changing the regulation of Executive Suites in certain neighborhoods. Second, the 49 Charter St. project that was previously opposed by NEWRA will be presented again with a revised plan. The third petition is to change the rectory at 14 N. Bennet St. to an eight-unit residential building.
