Charles River Locks to Close to Pedestrians Nov. 15; 19 – 21

The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) has advised the New Charles River Dam Pedestrian Walkway will be closed to foot traffic Friday, November 15 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Tuesday, November 19 through Thursday, November 21.

The closure is to accommodate facility maintenance operations. Vessel traffic will not be impacted. The walkway is expected to reopen on November 21 after work has been completed at approximately 6 p.m.

Pedestrians can utilize the east side of the North Washington Street Bridge to walk between the North End and Charlestown.
