The third public meeting for the Parcel 2 park design process will take place on Wednesday, October 2 from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Boston City Hall.
The project team will present multiple design options based on feedback received from the second meeting. The goal of the meeting will be to narrow it down to one design direction for future development. There will then be two more meetings to reach a final design.
At the second open house, participants visited different stations to discuss what they’d like to see at the park. Some suggested ideas were temporary art installations, pop-up vendors, and performances or exhibitions. Officials did confirm the restrictions of the site would limit the amount of trees that could be planted and that a splash pad for a fountain would not be feasible.
The meeting will be held at the BPDA Board Room 900, Boston City Hall, 9th Floor, 1 City Hall Square, Boston, MA 02201.
