Fifth grade students from the Eliot School, located in Boston’s North End, recently took a field trip to the Boston Public Market to learn about local food pathways and cooking healthy meals.
The students met with Boston Public Market chefs at the KITCHEN, a demonstration kitchen that highlights culinary experiences and local food production. The field trip was meant to inspire healthy eating, creative cooking, and personal wellness. The students also got to roll up their sleeves and practice their cooking skills by making fresh raviolis!
Principal Traci Walker Griffith gave a special shout-out to the Friends of the Eliot School, a 501c3 non-profit that supported this opportunity for the Eliot students.
