Monday’s Brief: Best Coffee in Boston, Harbor Cruise, Zumba in the Park

Today is Monday, September 16 and if you’re a fan of Nantucket hot spot The Nautilus, you soon can experience their food a little closer to home. NP4 (an offshoot of The Nautilus) is planning to to open a 4,827 square-foot waterfront restaurant on Pier 4 in the Seaport, read more on Boston.com.

10:30AM Toddler Story Time. Stop by the North End Library and listen to stories, sing songs, and learn together through movement and play. This story time is ideal for little ones who have started walking or moving on their own.

11:00AM Baby Story Time. Join the North End Library at 25 Parmenter Street and enjoy gentle stories, songs, and lap bounces for pre-walking babies and caregivers.

3:30PM Kids’ Building Challenge. Drop by the North End Library after school and try to build the tallest, sturdiest tower you can using only paper and tape. Ideal for kids 6-12 years old.

Wednesday, September 18

10:30AM Celebrate What Unites Us: Latin America at Armenian Heritage Park. This two-part program celebrates the immigrant experience and promotes healthy, active living while building community and cross-cultural understanding. At the Park, a community leader shares his/her immigrant experience followed by walking the labyrinth. Then all walk to The KITCHEN at the Boston Public Market where a chef demonstrates a signature dish for all to enjoy for lunch and conversation. RSVP here: info@armenianheritagepark.org.

3:00PM Kids’ LEGO Club. Stop by the North End Library after school and build whatever you can imagine using LEGOs and DUPLOs.

6:00PM Summer Shred by Next Level Fitness & Wellness. Stop by the Greenway at Cross and Sudbury Streets for this free fitness class, see additional information here.

6:30PM Kellie Center Jackson – Forcing Freedom | Speaker Series Event. Stop by the Old North Church and hear from Kellie Center Jackson. Her book Force & Freedom examines one of the perennial questions in political thought: is violence a valid means of producing social change? In her lecture, Kellie Carter Jackson address how black abolitionists answered this question, see additional information here.
