Grand Opening of Eliot Kinder 2 and First Grade Libraries

At the start of each school year the first grade and kinder 2 classrooms at the Eliot School in Boston’s North End host a grand opening of their classroom libraries. The celebration promotes reading and get the students excited about the new year.

Principal Traci Walker Griffith recently officiated the first graders’ grand opening with a ribbon cutting in their classroom. The ceremony celebrated the students for setting reading goals and donating new books to the library.

Principal Griffith expressed an extra thank you to the Friends of the Eliot 501c3 for continuing to fund the Eliot classroom libraries across the school Kinder 1 – grade 8.
