Boston Harbor Now has announced the recipients of this year’s Onboard Awards honoring innovative and socially responsible partners in waterfront development in the Boston region.

The 2019 Onboard Awards recipients are:

The Seaport/North Station Ferry Founders: Seaport Leadership Group (The Fallon Company, PWC, Vertex Pharmaceuticals), The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, Seaport TMA, selected for increasing water transportation, in particular through their Lovejoy to Seaport ferry service, operated by Bay State Cruises.

Encore Boston Harbor and Harborwalk, selected for its creation of a resilient living shoreline, and the development of a publicly-accessible Harborwalk and new water transportation services.

Martin’s Park, selected for its ADA accessibility and, through the park’s location, its benefit of increasing enjoyment of the Boston Children’s Museum.

Boston Harbor Now (BHN) looks forward to an evening filled with networking, dinner donated by Legal Sea Foods, and celebrating at the Onboard Awards at the Boston Harbor Hotel on Monday, November 18th, 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

BHN is a a non-profit dedicated to creating a more resilient and accessible Boston Harbor. Their comprehensive approach to the harbor prioritizes equitable public access through parks and open spaces including the Harborwalk; well-designed infrastructure and ferries; maritime industry and other marine-related economic drivers; mixed-use and mixed-income climate-resilient waterfront development; programming that promotes recreational and educational uses; and maintenance of the clean harbor.
