Tuesday’s Brief: Aquarium Assessing Climate Change, GameSense, Jazz in the Park, FOCCP Meeting

12:00PM GameSense. A GameSense Advisor will come to the Nazzaro Center and share some tips on how to gamble. The advisor will discuss what the odds of winning and losing are, and discuss ways to set and stick to a budget, see additional details here.

6:00PM MIXCLA | JAZZ IN THE PARK 2019 – NEMPAC Summer Series. MIXCLA opens the Jazz in the Park series by combining sounds from the mountains of Chile, the traditions of Japan, and the fires of Cuba, to achieve a truly unique Latin jazz experience, see additional details here.

New England Aquarium takes a more active role in climate-change fight

The New England Aquarium has seen a front row view of the affects of climate change and the damage it can cause when it had to close it’s doors for several days last year due to flooding. Aquarium executives are taking action and searching for a firm to conduct a climate vulnerability assessment – the first step in a 10-year phased plan, read more on the Boston Globe.

12:00PM Tour on Italian North Enders. North End Historical Society President, Alex Goldfeld, will lead a walking tour for $35 centering on life for Italian North Enders, and some of their neighbors, at the dawn of the Twentieth Century. If you are interested and able to join, email northendhs@gmail.com. If space if available, you will be sent a link for payment, confirmation, and the starting place for the tour.
