Neighborhood Milestone: 10th Anniversary at Ducali Pizzeria & Bar

Friends and neighbors gathered to celebrate ten years at Ducali Pizzeria with owner Philip Frattaroli and his family. State Senator Joe Boncore joined the occasion which featured a dramatic cake, complete with Ducali colored (blue and yellow) filling inside. Shown above, (L-R) Kelly and Philip Frattaroli, Sen. The name “Ducali” comes from the nickname of the soccer team in the city of Parma, famous for their yellow and blue striped jerseys,

In the depths of the 2009 recession, Frattaroli opened Ducali Pizzeria & Bar. In 2013, he also opened Cunard Tavern in the East Boston property that his maternal grandfather operated Oscar Woodworking out of for fifty years. Most recently, Philip teamed up with his parents to create Filmark Hospitality Group.
