North End resident Sean Hennessey has joined The Castle Group (Castle), a Boston-based public relations and event management firm, as senior vice president.
Hennessey is an active member of the North End community where he has been elected twice to the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council; serves on the Nazzaro Community Center Council in the North End, and coaches youth basketball and soccer. He lives in Boston with his wife and two children.
At Castle, Hennessey will identify, develop and secure strategic opportunities for clients across platforms and industries. In speaking about his new role Hennessey said:

Prior to joining Castle, Hennessey was vice president and director of media at a Boston PR firm, where he worked with clients in the life sciences, higher education, professional services, commercial real estate and nonprofit sectors. Hennessey also gained considerable experience in the higher education field as associate director of University Communications at Boston College. Prior to his role at Boston College, Hennessey was an Emmy-award winning television news reporter and anchor for more than two decades. He spent much of his career in the major media markets of New York City and Boston, as well as in Providence.
