New Officers Announced for North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC)

New officers have been announced this week at the North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC). President Brett Roman takes over from John Pregmon who served the maximum three years under NEWNC’s by-laws. Pregmon remains an officer as Vice President. Marie Simboli is serving as Sergeant-at-arms and Tina Natale as Secretary.

The appointments were announced at the start of the June 2019 NEWNC meeting. In addition, Maria Lanza, gave a series of reports from the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services (04:20 in video). City officials are appreciative of resident and business support during the repaving of Hanover Street, which was recently completed.

Carmine Guarino, Chair of the Greenway Committee, gave an update on the recent gala and upcoming Summer features. (07:30 in video). From the Harborfront Neighborhood Alliance, Brett Roman, announced a Chapter 91 educational event on June 26th, 5-8pm, at Atlantic Wharf (2nd Floor). Speakers will include the Conservation Law Foundation and Boston Harbor Now. (09:00 in video). For RUFF, Ashley Leo spoke about the monthly Yappy Hours with the next one scheduled on June 19th at the Battery Wharf Hotel. She also advised dog owners to pick up and stay off the ball fields (10:00 in video).
