Wednesday’s Brief: NEMPAC Faculty Concert, NBSS Celebration of Craft

NBSS 20th Annual Celebration of Craft: Student & Alumni Event. The centerpiece of NBSS’s Annual Celebration of Craft, the Student & Alumni Exhibit showcases the masterful work of our community. On display May 1 through June 29, the exhibit showcases the talents of NBSS artisans at 150 North Street while promoting traditional trades across a variety of craft disciplines. Heirloom-quality furniture, designer handmade jewelry, fine bookbinding, and more will all be available to view and purchase throughout the run of the exhibit, see here for tickets and additional details.

6:00PM NEMPAC Faculty Concert at the North End Library. Join NEMPAC at the North End Library for the Faculty Performance Series to celebrate jazz and musical theatre classics! This event is sponsored by a generous Anonymous Donor. Treats will be provided by the Friends of the North End Library. Event host by Art Week.

11:00AM Mah Jongg Club. Every Thursday in May, come by the North End Library and play the American-style variant of this tile-based game that originated in China and requires skill, strategy, and calculation. Beginners are welcome. No sign up is required.

5:00PM North Street Grille Neighborhood Night. Join North Street Grille for their Neighborhood Night on the first Thursday of every night when 30% of all sales will go back to the neighborhood, see additional details here.

6:00PM North End Public Safety Meeting. The North End public safety meeting will take place at the Nazzaro Center, 30 N. Bennet St. Attended by Boston Police Area A-1 All North End / Waterfront residents are welcome to attend!
