6:30PM Aquarium Lecture Series: Protecting Our Coasts from Offshore Drilling and Gas Exploration. Stop by the Simons IMAX Theater at 1 Central Wharf for a series of film shorts on offshore drilling and gas exploration, its development and production and its impacts on local communities. A food pantry has opened at the Coast Guard base in the North End following the continuing government shutdown providing food for some military members searching for ways to feed their families, read more on the Boston Globe.
