Mark your calendars for the annual Christopher Columbus Park trellis lighting on Monday, November 19 beginning at 5 p.m.

The Friends of Christopher Columbus Park, Mayor Walsh, and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department will come together for this 16th annual celebration. The park’s 260 feet of trellis will be illuminated by 50,000 blue lights along with fourteen decorated trees on the waterfront.

Santa, Frosty and FOCCP President Joanne Hayes Rines are joined by kids to flip the switch at the 2017 trellis lighting.

Students and instructors from the North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC), Berklee College of Music vocalist Natalie Daniela Castro Diaz, and singer Sharon Zeffiro will perform a selection of holiday classics. Special guests Santa Claus, Rudolph, and Frosty will be in attendance.

In addition, the Postmaster of Boston Nicolas Francescucci will unveil the new US Postal Service holiday stamp. Refreshments, holiday treats, and giveaways will be provided by the Marriot Long Wharf Hotel, Joe’s American Bar & Grill Waterfront, HP Hood LLC, Drake’s Cakes, and Magic 106.7.
