1:00PM City Council Biannual Urban Renewal Progress Update. Stop Members of the public are invited to attend and testify on the order that the Boston Planning and Development Agency continue biannual Urban Renewal updates to the Boston City Council. Stop by the Iannella Chamber on the 5th floor of City Hall, see additional details here.

3:00PM Papel Picado Craft at the North End Library. Stop by the North End Library at 25 Parmenter Street and get ready to celebrate Dia de los Muertos and create an intricate paper craft. Together we will build a banner to hang in the library.

6:00PM City Council Working Session on the Redevelopment of One Charlestown. Members of the public are cordially invited to attend a working session regarding the redevelopment of One Charlestown, see additional details here.

6:30PM Johnny Redcoat to GI Joe: From Boston to Berlin to Baghdad. Join Colonel Earl “The Pearl” Wederbrook, USMC (Ret) at the Old North Church as he compares and contrast the occupation of Boston in 1776 with Berlin in 1945 and Baghdad in 2004 and analyzes the military, political, economic, social and moral aspects and consequences of using the military to quell civil unrest, occupy conquered territory or aid in nation building, see additional details here.

11:00AM A Cappella Competition. Faneuil Hall Marketplace will host the 22nd annual Faneuil Hall Marketplace A Cappella Competition with over 40 of the best A Cappella groups in New England dueling it out.

1:00PM Beyond the Ride: Paul Revere and Medicine. Did you know that Paul Revere was a dentist? Learn about Revere’s many unexpected connections to the medical field in this special lecture by Nina Rodwin, graduate student and historical interpreter at the Paul Revere House in North Square.
