10:00AM City Council Hearing on Dockless Mobility & Electric Scooters. Members of the public are cordially invited to attend and testify at the hearing to discuss Dockless Mobility and Electric Scooters in the City of Boston in the Innella Chamber on the 5th floor of City Hall, read more here.

12:00PM Mayor to Lead Rally for Immigrant Families at Faneuil Hall. Mayor Martin J. Walsh will host a press conference with advocates, community members, partner organizations and elected officials to speak against the Trump Administration’s change to the “public charge” provision.

5:45PM NEAD Family Dinner/Talk. Join the North End Against Drugs for a family dinner/family talk featuring a guest speaker.

MBTA will replace North Station drawbridges, eliminating a chokepoint

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority issued calls for contractors last week to replace the two drawbridges that act as a rail crossing bringing trains in and out of North Station, read more on the Boston Globe.

6:00PM North End Basketball Bonanza. NEAD will host the third annual North End Basketball Bonanza from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the Nazzaro Center, see additional details here

6:30PM RUFF Monthly Meeting. Stop by the Nazzaro Center for the RUFF monthly meeting to discuss topics like event planning, fundraising and park maintenance.

Wednesday, October 18

6:00PM New Community Center Committee Meeting at the Nazzaro Center. This will be a working group meeting of the CAC to review the site selection process to date and gather feedback on potential sites. The public is welcome to attend, gather information and offer any input, see additional details here.
