6:00PM National Night Out. Join Mayor Walsh, new Boston Police Commissioner William Gross at this year’s National Night Out. Due to construction at the Prado, this year is at DeFilippo Park on Prince Street. Stop by for free pizza, DJ, ballon guy, face painting, reptile petting zoo, slush cart, instruments, RUFF dog park activities and much more, see additional details here.

Fear not, East Boston: Parks mean you won’t end up another Seaport

Some of the city’s most expansive waterfront parks are planned for the Eastie side of the harbor, easing the minds of East Boston residents who may fear the neighborhood to become the next Seaport District, read more on the Boston Globe.

10:00AM Gentle Yoga at Christopher Columbus Park. Stop by Christopher Columbus park for free fitness classes all summer long – today’s class being Gentle Yoga.

12:30PM Let me Tell You a Story at the West End Library. Join the West End Library at 151 Cambridge Street and enjoy the rare pleasure of being read to as an adult.

6:00PM North End Family Fun Festival: Family Game Night. Stop by the Rose Kennedy Greenway at Hanover & Cross Streets for lawn games for the whole family, see additional details here.

7:00PM Movies at the Marketplace. Faneuil Hall Marketplace presents “Movies at the Marketplace” where the West End of the Marketplace will be transformed into an outdoor movie theatre where visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy free movies with pre-show activities starting at 7:00pm and movies beginning at dusk. This week’s movie will be Dreamgirls.

7:00PM NEWRA Monthly Meeting. Join the North End Waterfront Residents Association for their monthly meeting at the Nazzaro Community Center, see additional details here.
