Thursday’s Brief: Boy Struck in Hit and Run, Woman Recorded in Salem Street Restaurant Bathroom, St. Agrippina’s Feast Opens

Things to know for Thursday

Today is Thursday, August 2 and yesterday a teenage boy suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mass General after he was struck around 5:30pm by a hit and run motorist on Prince Street. The motorist allegedly cursed at the boy before backing up into him. Police are searching for the sedan, read more on the Boston Globe

7:00PM Movies at the Marketplace: Chicago. Faneuil Hall Marketplace presents “Movies at the Marketplace” every Thursday this summer beginning July 26 through August 16. The West End of the Marketplace will be transformed into an outdoor movie theatre where visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy free movies with pre-show activities starting at 7:00pm and movies beginning at dusk.

As previously reported in the police blotter, a bartender at a Salem Street restaurant was fired and could face criminal charges after placing a their cell phone to record those using a unisex bathroom. The incident happened last March, read more on Universal Hub.

  1. The photo above is such a lovely view of a part of the downtown/north end skyline! Just imagine what it will look like when a 10 story hotel is built on top of the Clinton St Parking Garage – the seven story brick garage located right in the center of this photo. That is the plan.
