Police Blotter: Larceny from Motor Vehicle and Receiving Stolen Property

The following are recent incidents reported by Boston Police District A-1 for the North End / Waterfront area.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle
08/08 – 08/10/18     11:00 p.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Victim reports she parked her 2004 Toyota Camry on Hull Street. When she returned to her vehicle a few days later, she noticed parts of the steering wheel on the floor and clothing and spare change had been stolen from the vehicle. No sign of forced entry.

Receiving Stolen Property
08/10/18     3:37 a.m.
Police officers responded to Sheafe Street for a male suspect attempting to break into motor vehicles. Suspect was stopped and a witness came forward and stated the suspect had been trying car doors on the street. Witness further stated suspect removed a delivery package from a Sheafe Street resident’s front stairs. There was a check of package receipt and its contents were found in the suspect’s personal bag. Suspect placed under arrest for receiving stolen goods and attempted breaking and entering of motor vehicles in the  nighttime.
