Last Tuesday, August 22, the North End Athletic Association (NEAA) took over 60 players and their families to the Red Sox game.
The Sox played the Central Division leading Cleveland Indians, who are managed by former Red Sox Skipper Terry Francona. Tito, as he is known, was beloved while he was here, bringing the Red Sox to two World Series Championships.
It was an awesome night with the temperature in the lows 70s and not very muggy. Unfortunately, the Sox did not win, as Cleveland came out on top 6-3. However, the kids and their families from the NEAA had a fantastic time and, not only enjoyed the game, but all of the atmosphere that comes with visiting historic Fenway Park.
This was the fourth game the NEAA attended, bringing the total players to cheer on the Sox to close to 175 for the year! We look forward to visiting the Celtics and the Bruins at TD Garden in the fall.
