As a part of the North End summer movie series, Boston Community Collaborative (BCC) celebrated Christmas in July on Wednesday, July 25th with a screening of Daddy’s Home 2.
It was a hot and muggy evening with the threat of thunderstorms pushing Christmas in July indoors, but BCC Director Becca Griffin made sure the holiday spirit prevailed. Christmas music filled the Nazzaro Center gym and a tree cut-out was taped to the wall where presents piled up for the annual gift exchange.
Kids of all ages attended the fun event, with family members helping the younger ones choose a present to unwrap from under the tree. New toys were opened immediately to be shared with friends and Pizzeria Regina provided free slices to all. A large white sheet was creatively hung across the wall to show the movie. All in all, no one even noticed the rain.
North End movie nights will continue every Wednesday evening through the end of August at the Gassy. See the lineup here.
