In Italy, as in the North End, the Feast Day of Saint Anthony

A group of North Enders, including members of the Saint Anthony Society, traveled to Montefalcione, Italy to take part in the traditional feast day honoring St. Anthony of Padua on June 13th. The St. Anthony’s Feast Committee members, Gerry Moretti and Jason Aluia, presented metal prints from the annual North End feast to the Mayor of Montefalcione, Maria Antonietta Balli.

Yesterday, we showed you the North End procession through the neighborhood starting at St. Leonard Church on Hanover Street.  In this post, Jason Aluia shares these photos and video from their Italian experience.

The St. Anthony’s Feast Committee is beginning plans for the 100th Anniversary celebration in 2019.
