Today is Thursday, March 29 and with opening day just a week away, you know Marathon Monday is right around the corner. Marathon Daffodils is looking for donations and volunteers to help distribute thousands of potted blooming daffodil plants along the marathon route.

3:45PM Fiber Arts at the North End Library. Join the North End Library at 25 Parmenter Street as children ages 7-10 are invited to participate in practicing a variety of techniques to create projects while learning about the cultures and artists that use these methods. Register in advance by calling 617-227-8135.

6:00PM Author Talk: New Italian Migrations. Join I AM Books at 189 North Street for a discussion on Laura E Ruberto and Joseph Sciorra’s edited essays by an elite roster of scholars in Italian American studies.

Magnolia Bakery Opens At Faneuil Hall With Freebies Thursday

New York City’s Magnolia Bakery is officially opening in Faneuil Hall at 10AM this morning. The highly-anticipated bakery will be dishing out free sweet treats for the first 50 customers to buy anything in the shop this week until April 5, read more on Patch.com.
