Wednesday’s Brief: Valentine’s Day, Ash Wednesday, Love for Boston’s Future

Things to know for Wednesday

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today is Wednesday, February 14th and you can’t deny that love is on the mind. However, some are calling for love in other places…

It’s been 20 years since the big dig project and yet Bostonians are still feeling an infrastructure hangover. With companies like GE and Amazon taking over the Seaport, some are advocating for a little more love for the companies that have the ability to greatly impact Boston’s future. Post big dig – here are 5 projects to get excited about for Boston’s Future

Love In the Park:

It is also Ash Wednesday … a day of fasting, and the first day of Lent for Christians. It occurs 46 days (40 fasting days, if the six Sundays, which are not days of fast, are excluded) before Easter.

Saint Leonard Church – Ashes will be blessed and distributed at all February 14 Masses (12:05pm and 7:00 pm) and on the hour at Saint Leonard Church from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.
Old North Church – Ash Wednesday services, February 14 at Noon or 6pm. A solemn liturgy including imposition of ashes and Holy Eucharist to mark the beginning of Lent.
