North Bennet Street School Holds Open House November 17 & 18

Over the weekend, North Bennet Street School opened its doors to the public as a part of their annual two-day open house event; a behind-the-scenes look at one of America’s oldest schools of craftsmanship.

The school staff noted, “Getting to know everyone and share what we do was a great experience for students, faculty, and staff… We hope everyone who visited left feeling inspired.”

This year’s event brought nearly 800 friends of the School, including alumni, families, employers, tourists, donors, and members of the North End community. Visitors watched and interacted with students and instructors as they worked on their concentrations in violin making, carpentry, furniture making, piano technology, bookbinding, jewelry making, preservation carpentry, locksmithing and preservation carpentry.
