The ABCD North End/West End Neighborhood Service Center (NE/WE NSC) held its Halloween party on Monday, the day before Halloween. Staff and volunteers prepared a hearty and healthful meal of pork, pasta, and green veggies, to round out the influx of sweets, which included a sugary feast from our friends and elected officials in the neighborhood. Senator Joe Boncore brought a brimming pumpkin full of chocolate and Representative Aaron Michlewitz came with a big box of cupcakes. Stephen Passacantilli, who is running for City Councilor, visited with his mom Lorraine and cookies in tow. The seniors were delighted to visit with their elected officials, who made the rounds to all the tables.

Cheerful decorations of ghosts and goblins along with fall scenes made the room cozy, warm, and inviting. There was a pleasant chill in the air with leaves of gold, red, and brown swirling throughout the streets, showing us that fall has arrived.

Are you a senior interested in joining the NE/WE NSC for weekly meals and monthly celebration and events? Please call 617-523-8125 for more information on free membership and programming. Happy Halloween!
