The North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) held its Annual Meeting and Election of Officers on October 12, 2017. Under the moderation of past NEWRA President, Stephanie Hogue, the proposed slate of officers were unopposed and elected by voice acclimation vote.

At its September 2017 meeting, NEWRA members voted to extend term limits from two to four years for officers other than the President which remains at two years.
Presenter update: Peter Shelley from the Conservation Law Foundation was unable to present at the October meeting. His presentation will be rescheduled at a future NEWRA meeting on the subject of the public trust doctrine in waterfront development.
