7:00pm North End Movie Night w/Pizza! at the Gassy, DeFilippo Playground. The fun runs through August 30th, every Wednesday night at the Gassy (Prince Street Park). Pizza at 7pm and movie at dark. Free, all are welcome! This week’s film: Napoleon Dynamite.

Rogue Lounge Arrives in the West End This September

The former location of North Star on Friend Street by the TD Garden will soon reopen as Rogue Lounge, a restaurant with Asian and American influences. The 130-seat dining room will feature a bar with 25 seats, in addition to a private dining space, read in full at, Eater Boston.

[August 3, 4, 5 & 6] St. Agrippina Feast at Hanover & Battery Streets in Boston’s North End. The St. Agrippina di Mineo Feast will take place on Hanover & Battery Streets with the procession starting at 12:00pm on Sunday.

10:00am Mah Jongg Drop-in at the North End Library. Friends of the North End Library invite you to drop in anytime between 10am and 2pm for Mah Jongg games at 25 Parmenter Street.

10:00am Kids Artist in Residence Workshop at Christopher Columbus Park. The Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s annual ParkARTS program, sponsored by Holly and David Bruce, is pleased to announce the return of its series of children’s arts workshops. 6:00pm Mark Farina: Casey and the Flying Fortress Author Talk. Mark Farina tells the story of his father-in-law, a WWII B-17 bomber pilot, and his crew–including two men from Boston. Located at I AM Books, 189 North Street, view the details.

7:00pm Opening Procession for St. Agrippina’s Feast at Hanover & Battery Streets. St. Agrippina’s Feast is the first “big” festival of the year. The society is hosting a 4-day festival with daily processions and a full lineup of entertainment, concluding with the famous “Tug of War.”

Free Carousel Rides on the Greenway. Thanks to the Highland Street Foundation! Admission to the Greenway Carousel at the Tiffany & Co Foundation Grove will be FREE on August 4th, 2017. Join us for a spin on 14 unique New England native creatures!

1:00pm Movie at North End Library. The North End Branch of the Public Library on Parmenter Street is starting a Friday Movie Club. Following the movie there will be light refreshments and a discussion about the movie. Feel free to bring your lunch too. This weeks movie: Golddiggers of 1933, view the event posting.

7:30pm Outdoor Movie: “Tootsie” at Rowes Wharf, Boston Harbor Hotel. Michael Dorsey, an unsuccessful actor, disguises himself as a woman in order to get a role on a trashy hospital soap. The movie starts at dusk.

  1. “Paddy Wagon” I respectively disagree that Paddy Wagon is not a derogatory term. Just because the term may not be known to a large segment of today’s population, does not make it acceptable. I have always used the term “Wasp Wagon” instead!
