11:00am ReadBoston’s Book Bike. The BookBike is an innovative addition to ReadBoston’s Storymobile program. The BookBike brings literacy activities and new books to children in an environmentally-friendly way. Located at Hanover Street & Cross Streets, more information.

11:45am Big Joe the Storyteller at North End Library. Celebrate the 28th Annual North End Against Drugs Family Pride Week with raucous and inspiring tales told by storyteller “Big Joe,” followed by refreshments.

6:00pm National Night Out on the Prado (Paul Revere Mall). National Night Out in the North End is one of the largest of the neighborhood gatherings with fun and festivities for all. The neighborhood block party will have free food and music by DJ Sal, view the event posting.

7:00pm NEWRA Parks and Open Space Meeting. The NEWRA Parks and Open Space meeting North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) will be held at the Mariners House, 11 North Square, 2nd Floor.

3:00pm Coloring in the Courtyard at North End Library. Discover the therapeutic benefits of coloring! Relax, reduce stress, and leave feeling restored. Coloring books and supplies will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own materials from home. Located at 25 Parmenter Street.

5:30pm Croquet on the West Lawn of Christopher Columbus Park. Croquet on the West Lawn of Christopher Columbus Park. The fun starts at 5:30 – 7:30pm. Free and open to all!

6:30pm Next Level Fitness Bootcamp. Located at Hanover Street and Cross Street, get fit and stay healthy every week during the summer with Next Level Fitness!

7:00pm North End Movie Night w/Pizza! at the Gassy, DeFilippo Playground. The fun runs through August 30th, every Wednesday night at the Gassy (Prince Street Park). Pizza at 7pm and movie at dark. Free, all are welcome! This week’s film: Napoleon Dynamite.

Thursday, August 3

[August 3, 4, 5 & 6] St. Agrippina Feast at Hanover & Battery Streets in Boston’s North End. The St. Agrippina di Mineo Feast will take place on Hanover & Battery Streets with the procession starting at 12:00pm on Sunday.

10:00am Mah Jongg Drop-in at the North End Library. Friends of the North End Library invite you to drop in anytime between 10am and 2pm for Mah Jongg games at 25 Parmenter Street.

10:00am Kids Artist in Residence Workshop at Christopher Columbus Park. The Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s annual ParkARTS program, sponsored by Holly and David Bruce, is pleased to announce the return of its series of children’s arts workshops. 5:30pm Boston Workplace Fitness. Cresa Boston would like to bring together employees in nearby offices to The Greenway to participate in a fitness program promoting wellness in the workplace. Located at Milk Street & Atlantic Avenue.

6:00pm Sports Night at Polcari Playground (Outside Nazzaro). Sports Night at the Polcari Playground, outside the Nazzaro Center Boys and girls, ages 8 to 16 are invited for fun filled sports games, free pizza and soft drinks. Parents must attend with children under 12.

6:00pm NE Public Safety Meeting – Nazzaro Center, 30 N. Bennet St. Attended by Boston Police Area A-1, all North End / Waterfront residents are welcome to attend!

6:00pm Mark Farina: Casey and the Flying Fortress Author Talk. Mark Farina tells the story of his father-in-law, a WWII B-17 bomber pilot, and his crew–including two men from Boston. Located at I AM Books, 189 North Street, view the details.

7:00pm Opening Procession for St. Agrippina’s Feast at Hanover & Battery Streets. St. Agrippina’s Feast is the first “big” festival of the year. The society is hosting a 4-day festival with daily processions and a full lineup of entertainment, concluding with the famous “Tug of War.”

  1. How many reelection votes will Baker lose over this blatant disregard for Boston’s treasures?
    One more selling of our city to the developers.
