The new operator of the North End Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center has yet to officially take over the facility at 70 Fulton Street, but is already reaching out to local groups, including the Fisherman’s Club that organizes the annual feast in honor of Madonna del Soccorso di Sciacca. Marquis officials said they are in contact with other neighborhood groups and are looking to be a supportive community organization.

Marquis CEO, Norman Rokeach, recently hosted a dinner with the steering committee that fought to keep the North End facility from closing. The transition from Partners Healthcare / Spaulding is in progress according to Marquis officials as they work with patients, families and staff. Operational transfer should take place later this year with building renovations starting shortly thereafter.
