Just Married: Aaron Michlewitz & Maria Puopolo

Wedding bells rang this weekend for the North End’s own Aaron Michlewitz and Maria Puopolo who were married on Saturday, August 12th. The ceremony took place where the couple was engaged in Bryant Park, New York City.

State Rep. Michlewitz, born and raised in the North End, started representing the neighborhood in the State House as part of the Third Suffolk District after winning a 2009 special election.

Maria is also a State House alumnus, having previously worked as an aide to former Senator Petruccelli before joining the private sector. She is also an active member of North End Against Drugs, among other community activities.

The happy couple plans to reside in Boston’s North End.

North End’s Aaron Michlewitz Wins Election

The North End’s Aaron Michlewitz pulled out the win in a hard fought Democratic primary race for State Representative. Michlewitz and the South End’s Susan Passoni each ran very strong campaigns and the results showed Michlewitz with 2,116 votes to Passoni’s 1,945. 4th Annual North 2 South Baseball Classic Ceremony [Photos]

The opening ceremonies were held on Monday night for the 4th Annual North2South Baseball Classic, sponsored by State Representative Aaron Michlewitz.
