USS Constitution to Float Again

Huzzah! The USS Constitution will float again on July 23rd after two years in dry dock for restoration. The National Parks of Boston in the Charlestown Navy Yard will celebrate Constitution’s much-anticipated return to the water on Sunday, 7/23 from 9AM to midnight. There will be free family-friendly activities throughout the Navy Yard from 4PM to 8PM as Dry Dock 1 begins to flood.

As the water level slowly rises, participate in hands-on programs that test your shipbuilding skills, make a souvenir button, listen to gallery talks, and discover what makes America’s Ship of State as strong as iron. Stick around to see “Old Ironsides” afloat again as she lifts off her keel blocks and crosses back into the Boston Harbor. See the full schedule of events.

Watch as “Old Ironsides” once again floats again in Boston Harbor.  ConstitutionCam will refresh every five minutes – giving you a front-row seat to all the action.
