For the 28th consecutive year, North End Against Drugs will be providing a bunch of events free of charge to all North End Families, Teenagers, Single Adults and Senior Citizens during the summer. What started out as North End Family Pride Day 28 years ago has now transcended into a week’s worth of events called NEAD Family Fun Festival. Events include a Boston Harbor Boat Cruise, National Night Out, A Puppet Show, Movie Night, Sports Night and LaFesta Baseball Exchange as well as Free Arts and Crafts! This yearly event costs over $16,000.00 to put on, not including the many in kind donations made. Many generous businesses, organizations, neighbors and our local political officers provide donations year after year to help defray the cost of this event, as well as the Taste of the North End and our Corporate Sponsor Eversource Energy. Each year it is tougher to meet our fundraising goal to pay for these great events. This year we will not get a grant that helped with 15% of that amount because the grant ended.You all can help us by making a donation of any amount, checks can be made out to NEAD and mailed to:
