North End Public Safety Meeting Report: Home Invasion on Fulton Street, Auto Theft on Atlantic Avenue

Boston Police District A-1 provided an update on recent neighborhood crime incidents, summarized below, at the May 2017 North End Public Safety Meeting.

Aggravated Assault / Home Invasion (1)

-4/18 @ Fulton Street @ 11:40pm: Three suspects (one male and two females) entered an apartment. The male suspect struck the victim in the head with a firearm, while the two female suspects stole U.S. currency, iPhones, jewelry, bank cards, house keys and prescription medicine. The victim knew one of the female suspects and reported her address to the police. Female suspect was arrested at her address in South Boston and later identified by the victim. The victim was treated at the scene for a head laceration.

Breaking & Entering – Residential (1)

-4/20 @ Cooper Street between 9am & 4pm: Apartment was ransacked. Beats headphones and wallet were stolen.

Breaking & Entering – Commercial (2)

-4/7 @ 34 Cooper Street @ 12:25am: Attendant booth of parking lot was broken into. Two male suspects were arrested.

-4/23 @ 393 Hanover Street (Green Cross Pharmacy) between 12:30am & 8:45am: Front window was broken. A coffee pot was taken from the windowsill.

Auto Theft (1)

-Atlantic Avenue (by The Living Room): Delivery vehicle was stolen after being parked, with the keys left in the ignition and the engine running.

Larceny (2)

-Endicott Street: Bicycle was stolen.

-Hanover Street: Package containing laptop computer was stolen.

Larceny from MV (2)

-4/12 @ 81 Endicott Street between 8:45am & 9:45am: Jeep Wrangler was parked.  Backpack, laptop, headphones and medications were stolen.

-4/25 @ 12:16am: Male suspect was arrested on Charter Street for breaking and entering a motor vehicle and possession of burglarious tools. Suspect was observed breaking into motor vehicles (2012 Jeep Wrangler and 2013 BMW) on Snow Hill Street and Hull Street. Suspect admitted to police officers that he did break into the vehicles with a stainless window punch he had in his pocket.

Additional Arrests:

-4/11 @ Hanover Street (Florentine Cafe): Male suspect was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct. Suspect was harassing customers through the open windows as they were eating. Suspect then entered the building and went into the kitchen in an attempt to get food from the staff.

-4/18 @ Prince Street: Suspect from aforementioned incident @ Florentine Cafe was arrested again, this time for destruction of property.

-4/23 @ Corner of Cross Street & Salem Street: Male suspect struck female (out-of-town couple) – Domestic violence incident.

  1. Do the police still think 1 or 2 cops are going to handle the entire neighborhood? This is only the beginning,
    wait until the summer. This flourishing neighborhood became every thiefs/junkies’ dream.
