On Tuesday , May 2, the girls from Junior Troop 72158 successfully completed their final requirement for their “Agent of Change” Journey. Throughout this journey, the girls learned the importance of working as an individual and as a team. The final task was to use those skills to make a change in their community.
As a group, they decided to hold a clothing drive. Items were dropped off at the Nazzaro Center and the Eliot School. Last week, with the help of neighborhood friends and the Vicari family, they sorted through piles of donated clothing from the North End Community. They carefully inspected each item and filled dozens of bags with children’s clothing. The bags were brought to Cradles to Crayons in Brighton and the Salvation Army.
The troop would like to thank everyone that donated clothing. A special shout out to George Collins for taking all of the bags to Brighton.
