Greenway Open Market Announces Line-Up for 2017 Opening Weekend (5/6 & 5/7)

Juried Handmade Arts and Crafts Market Comprised of 70% Women Owned Businesses this Season

New England Open Markets, today announces details of the 2017 Greenway Open Market, in partnership with the Rose Kennedy Greenway. The Greenway Open Market, located in the Wharf Districts Parks of the Greenway, is a juried handmade arts and crafts market. Only the best of the region’s artisans and makers are accepted. The Greenway Open Market, now in its eighth year, is scheduled to occur every Saturday and the first and third Sundays beginning this weekend, May 6th & May 7th and running through October.

With over 400 free events attracting 1.4million visitors to the Greenway in 2016, the Greenway Open Market is surrounded by a variety of activities and experiences for customers to enjoy while shopping handmade arts and crafts market. Customers visiting the Greenway Open Market will also find: Mobile Eats (food trucks and picnic area), Public Art, Greenway Carousel, Trillium Beer Garden, Curated Festivals, Plants & Landscapes, Fountains, Tours, & much more.

Each weekend, the Saturday market will be curated and filled with a unique mix of 70 artisans and makers selling their handmade wares. Women owned businesses dominate the market this year with over 70% of the vendors run by female business owners including vendors such Art by Malu, It’s Sew You, Liquor Wicks, Lolas Urban Village, Seacoast Sweets, Wander Truck, Joyo – Handmade laser cut wood jewelry & accessories, and many more.
