Once again, on Friday, April 28th, North End restaurateur Donato Frattaroli is hosting the long-time favorite Taste Of The North End, at which many of the North End restaurants will whip up a bite-sized specialty all under the same roof.
WHO: Over 45 participating drool-worthy restaurants come together for this incredible night of food and philanthropy put on by Founder Donato Frattaroli, owner of the newly opened Il Molo restaurant on Commercial Street. For the past several years the event has been hosted by Billy Costa, and this year there will also be entertainment by vocalist Vanessa Salvucci and DJ, Nick Scenna. See entire list of participating restaurants and sponsors below.
WHAT: Taste Of The North End began as a restaurant tasting event to raise money for Casa Monte Cassino nearly 20 years ago. Begun by Frattaroli and his wife in 1993 after speaking to and hearing the story of a family staying at Casa Monte Cassino while their child received treatment at Boston Children’s Hospital and being moved to help support their stay, the event has grown from 15 original restaurants that first year, to over 45 participating restaurants now. Each restaurant serves a bite sized dish that represents their establishment, and diners have a chance to taste every single offering upon paying a one-time entry fee for the event.
WHERE: Taste Of The North End is located at DCR’s Steriti Memorial Rink at 561 Commercial Street, in the North End of Boston.
WHEN: Friday, April 28th at 7:00 PM.
Tickets cost $79 with the early bird discount until April 17th and then $99 if purchased before the event. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the event for $125 per person.
Tickets are currently available at http://totne.org/.
