Dreams of a common on the waterfront
The author has obviously never been to Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park when talks about bringing a “jaw-dropping” park along Boston Harbor. One of the state’s biggest parks organizations is scouting sites in the Seaport, Fort Point, and East Boston. Although there has been no cost discussions yet, the nonprofit group has engaged landscape architects to design concepts at five locations. The Boston Globe has more on the story.

Boston officials push to allocate less parking for new apartment buildings
Limited parking is nothing new for downtown residents, and of the 76 residential buildings approved by the Boston Planning & Development Agency last year, 30 of them came with fewer than one space per unit. The Boston Globe has more on developers and city officials who are pushing to allocate less parking for new apartment buildings.

6:30pm Community Meeting on Prado / Paul Revere Mall Improvements at Old North Church. The meeting will be held to discuss upcoming improvements to Paul Revere Mall located at 370 Hanover Street. 7:00pm Zoning, Licensing & Construction Committee Meeting (NEWRA) at the Mariner’s House, 11 North Square, 2nd Floor. The Zoning, Licensing & Construction Committee of the North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month, more information.

Good Friday Celebration at Boston Harbor Community Church. The celebration is an interactive contemplation, with 8 stations based loosely on the traditional stations of the cross. The evening has been created so that you may move at your own pace. Suffering & Compassion will be held between 6:30p and 9:00pm. More information.
