Space Savers Are Banned in the South End

Moving a space saver to park in a cleared spot in the middle of a snow storm can lead to a threatening note, broken window, or a physical altercation. No longer is this a possibility in the South End, where parking space savers are banned, other neighborhoods like the North End are looking to adopt the ban. Boston Magazine has the story.

6:00pm James Ring Book Signing & Presentation. Ring is a retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent who investigated the American La Cosa Nostra and the Sicilian Mafia in New England. Ring received the Department of Justice’s highest award as the architect of the first and only electronic interception of the La Cosa Nostra/Mafia induction ceremony of new members, including the Omerta oath. Located at I AM Books, 189 North Street.

10:30am I Piccoli Lettori.  Join I AM Books for its Italian reading group for little ones! Children (0-4) and their parents will engage in multiple readings and games for a fun morning of Italian language and learning. Located at I AM Books, 189 North Street.

5:00pm NEMPAC “Amore” Valentine’s.  Join NEMPAC at La Galleria 33, 125 Salem Street, for their Annual Valentine’s Day concert. Join us for a lovely evening of food, wine and live music featuring your favorite songs, arias and duets about love. A ticket includes a 3 course dinner, live entertainment, one glass of house wine, taxes and gratuity.
