Boston (Rain or) Shines Brings Out Community and First Time Sidewalk Powerwashing

It was touch and go with the drizzly conditions on Saturday morning, but a surprisingly large crew of resident volunteers showed up to help the city clean the North End / Waterfront streets. Supporting the effort this year with food and manpower was the North End Chamber of Commerce.

Mayor Walsh’s office came through with a powerwashing truck that made its way through the major thoroughfares of the North End. Public works crews were also working to spruce up lamposts and fill in planters with fresh potting soil. The day ended with lunch from the NECC on the Prado / Paul Revere Mall.
