As housing, healthcare, and the overall cost of living continues to surge in Massachusetts, many seniors are depending on services from places like the ABCD North End/West End Neighborhood Services Center. 7:00pm Zoning, Licensing & Construction Committee Meeting (NEWRA) at the Mariner’s House, 11 North Square, 2nd Floor.  The Zoning, Licensing & Construction Committee of the North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month, all are welcome to attend.

6:00pm The Story Behind Olive Oil – Taibi olive oil talk and tasting. Boston-based entrepreneur Giuseppe Taibi has been bringing to Massachusetts the 150-year-old olive oil-making tradition of his family in Agrigento, Sicily. A tasting of the olive oil will also be part of the event. [I AM Books, 189 North St, Boston].

6:00pm NE Public Safety Meeting. These meetings are open to North End / Waterfront residents are welcome to attend and are attended by Boston Police Area A-1. Located at the Nazzaro Center, 30 North Bennet Street.

  1. Guessing: The living room photo is from late 1800s. Does not portray a ‘normal’ living room, but rather some kind of parlor, judging from the seating arrangements. In those days the word parlor was in use and at tims signified a more public venue.
