Downtown Photo: Snow Brings Out Rare White Squirrel in Public Garden

The rare white squirrel came out in the snow at the Public Garden this weekend, captured by Kathleen Cook. The squirrel is apparently not albino, but a “white morph” mutation of an Eastern Grey Squirrel.

  1. I took a few photos of this squirrel on Halloween. It was the best costume I saw all day. I am glad to see he/she is alive and well!

Interesting photo of a white squirrel which I never saw before. Keep on the prowl as you never know what you might see in the Public Garden.

  3. About a year ago, I saw a white squirrel up behind the church in the West End~~~near the MGH.
