An unusually warm Friday night on December 2, 2016, brought crowds of people pouring into local North End shops for the 2016 North End Holiday Stroll. Marking the 10th annual year for the holiday stroll, neighborhood shops stay open late offering special promotions while serving light holiday refreshments and small bites.
The festivities all began with the North End Beautification Committee lighting the Christmas tree at the corner of Cross and Hanover Streets, with Caffé Paradiso serving coffee and hot chocolate while hearing the sounds of some holiday tunes.
The North End Beautification Committee wishes to give special recognition to Eamon O’Marah who provided funds for the beautiful Christmas Tree located on Cross Street. A sincere thank you to the businesses and residents who also provided funds for the plants which created a truly festive atmosphere. Your dedication to the community has made this celebration possible.
Participating shops of the holiday stroll included: Shake the Tree, Ensemble, Cataldo Interiors, Sedurre, Sol Optics, LIT Boutique, Heart & Sole, in-jean-ius, I AM Books, SALMAGUNDI, Polkadog Bakery, Exhale Battery Wharf, North Bennet Street School, Polcari’s Coffee, The Wine Bottega.
