NEWRA Summer Party!
The North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) annual Summer Party, will be held this year at the Pilot House at 2 Atlantic Avenue (next to Lewis Wharf) on Wednesday August 17. The party starts at 6:30pm and will have food, beverages and live entertainment until 9pm.
NEWRA is an all-volunteer, member-based organization whose mission is to work with residents and the City to improve and maintain the quality of life in the North End. Beyond regular duties of creating community forums to discuss proposed licensing and zoning changes, NEWRA also works with City and State agencies to examine longer-term issues affecting our neighborhood. Among its
philanthropic efforts, NEWRA assists the Parks Department and Greenway Conservancy to plan and execute improvements in the North End’s parks and open spaces through volunteerism and fundraising.
