Folks were reading about how ABCD’s North End/West End Neighborhood Service Center held a Successful Fundraiser at Whole Foods to Support Food Pantry, which increased supplies in the ABCD West End Emergency Food Pantry located in the Boston Public Library at 151 Cambridge Street. Meanwhile, Mayor Tom Menino and the City of Boston were unveiling their back to School Campaign, “We Don’t Serve Teens”, an initiative that was designed to remind people not to serve or provide alcohol to minors. Speaking of minors, the North End Teens took 3rd Place in Boston Police District A-1 Basketball Tournament!
3. The community calendar has the following two events slated for today:
10:30am Storytelling at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Join professional storytellers outside at Faneuil Hall Marketplace each Tuesday for interactive tales. Created for younger audiences, but fun for all ages! Located on South Market Street near Wagamama.
7:00pm Remembering Sacco and Vanzetti. A book presentation by author Robert Knox, author of “Suosso’s Lane” (2015), located at I AM Books, 189 North Street, Boston.
