Could this be the new Northern Avenue Bridge?
Could this be the new Northern Avenue Bridge? View below for a link to the design competition.

Three Things to Know Today:

1. Due to rain in Kansas City, the Red Sox game scheduled for Monday night was postponed to a day-night double header on Wednesday, with the first game starting at 2:15pm and the second at 8:15pm.

Later this evening at 6:30pm, the North End Branch Library will host Beading Class 2,  covering a simple beading project (project to be announced in class). Instruction and materials to be provided, this is a continuation for beginners beading. The audience is geared towards teens (Ages 13-18).

2 . Have you had a chance to look at the Boston Northern Avenue Bridge Ideas Competition? The Northern Avenue Bridge served pedestrians, cyclists, automobiles, and freight trains since it opened in 1908. With the continuous exposure to salt water and air causing corrosion of the structure, the bridge was closed to all traffic over a year ago. The City of Boston and the Boston Society of Architects invited the public to participate in a competition to bring the future of Northern Avenue Bridge, take a look at the renderings at, northernavebridge.org.

3. Is this illegal? …. Anyone? (see below)

Keep up with what’s happening on the Events Calendar.

  1. You will not take our Santarpio’s! You can’t order a “Combo” of the best lamb and sausage at Regina’s.

    1. The tweet is from a tourist who lives in FL! The Best combo at Santarpio’s in EAST Boston is a garlic pizza with lamb and extra hot peppers!
