PAAE President Joseph Hill and Nazzaro Art Director Josephine Lepore with all the various winners

The Nazzaro Center, with help from Public Action for the Arts and Education (PAAE), recently completed its 10th annual art contest, a program that involved over 40 boys and girls ages 6-14 working on art projects over the course of six months, culminating with an awards ceremony at the Center in May. Three prizes were given in 4 age group categories as well as an honorable mention in each division. The judges for the contest were members of PAAE, which included Joseph Hill, President of PAAE and a longtime supporter of the Nazzaro Center’s art program. Josephine Lepore, Art Director for the Nazzaro Center for the past 15 years, presided over the awards ceremony which included various art related prizes and Red Sox shirts and caps. “We are so proud to be the benefactors of PAAE and their commitment to art”, Josie Lepore said. “Without their continued support and involvement, we wouldn’t be able to bring the arts to as many children as we do.”
