The Zoning, Licensing and Construction Committee of the North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) has issued its agenda for its May 24, 2016 meeting, 7:00 p.m. at the Mariner’s House, 11 North Square. The public is welcome to attend.
On Monday, November 10, 2014, the Eliot K-8 Innovation School raised $66,000.00 at its annual Fall Evening for Education at Vinoteca Di Monica in the North End. This event was generously hosted by the Mendoza family for the sixth year. The Boston Licensing Board granted three all-alcohol licenses to North End restaurants this week. The new awards come as part of the ten new citywide licenses up for grabs as a result of 2014 State legislation. The new licenses are ‘upgrades’ for existing beer and wine licenses. The North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association hosted a discussion on zoning variances, led by Attorney Victor Brogna who is also serving as NEWRA’s Vice-President and co-chair of the Zoning, Licensing & Construction Committee (ZLC).
