A Look Inside NEMPAC’s Upcoming PERFORM-A-THON

This weekend, students and faculty from North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) will be taking over The KITCHEN at the Boston Public Market to entertain and raise funds for NEMPAC’s student scholarships!

Executive Director, Sherri Snow, stated “We believe every youth is deserving of a quality, artistic education and/or musical experience. The NEMPAC Scholarship Fund provides financial support to students and families who could not otherwise afford to take music lessons or attend an after-school arts program. Over the past five years that I’ve been involved with NEMPAC, I’ve seen several of our students grow through our program to continue their artistic studies at a high school or college level. I’ve also witnessed students who were able to find relief and confidence in their own creative abilities who might have been struggling with problems in school or at home. We’re truly proud to be able to make music possible for every youth in our community.”

Stefano Marchese, a faculty member and one of Saturday’s performers mentions, “Music has a critical function in our kids learning. This is why I strongly believe that all the children should be exposed to music and music instruments. These are the activities that students will remember for a long time.”

Student performer, Hope Mullin, shared with us that “she is excited to raise money to help other children take music lessons!”

Grab a coffee on Saturday morning and spend some time with NEMPAC’s talented students as they raise $2,500 for their future and fellow students!
